Echo Pad - Multi Effects Processor App Reviews

This app can be as traditional or as ridiculously outside a multifx processor as you can stand. An easy touch is required or this will get insanely out of hand in a hurry. But then thats the beauty of it. You have a nicely flanged and delayed spacey thickener, or you can turn a clip inside out and send it to a galaxy far far away. Click a lot of buttons, go granular and that cute noise your cat makes is the sound of a T Rex giving birth. In a canyon. Forty miles away. Through an aluminum fence pole.

Wish you guys will improve the UI in future.

This is so cool its Coolio. Incredible sound & performance all wrapped in an immaculate interface that is controllable via MIDI. Almost too good to believe; yet here it is on my iPhone, and I am loving it!

Its really more than just a delay. This is a tactile effects unit that you can use to process anything audio. Other apps, your DAW’s signal through an audio interface, guitar through an Apogee Jam... It syncs with midi and works great with Audiobus.

First thing Id like to say is that this guy makes really awesome apps! I have all three of his FX apps: Swoopster, Stereo Designer, and Echo Pad. They all provide unique sounds that make my music sound awesome. This particular app Echo Pad has a range of awesome FX. My favorite thing to do is use Swoopster as an FX on my Bass guitar. It provides me with a bunco of awesome sound options that sound great on recordings.

Seriously committed developer. Most bang for your buck ever -as music effects go- considering how the app just keeps being developed and developed! NO abandonware here! Just more Echopad goodness! Reasonably priced.. Yeay! Thx for the update!

Really enjoy this effects app.

One of the coolest delay/looper effects Ive ever played with, including my beloved old DigiTech DSP-8000 (which truthfully couldnt do anywhere near as much a this can - RIP). Love the new UI, and the dev is extremely responsive and dedicated to constantly improving and updating.

Echo Pad is easily one of the most recommended apps for iOS musicians. It is easy on CPU, has a ton of effects to be tweaked, and can be used by both beginners and experienced users. The developer is an updating machine as well, constantly improving and adding more features. If you need an effects app that plays well with others in Audiobus, this is an easy recommend.

Brilliant app for any iOS music producer. 5+ stars for this and all related Holderness apps. This is an easy to use, yet deep app -- at this price point its a no brainier -- a must have app.

Great echo app, very nice touch interface, nice presets, very flexible and sounds great...

This app is great for realtime manipulation of vocals for live use. I use with iPad2 and Alesis I/O Dock and love the fast and easy x/y surface for adjusting parameters on the fly. Echo Pad also adds dimension to synth–apps within AudioBus on many of my tracks. This is a great app for just standard Delay but also has so many other ways to really come up with an original and unique sound of your own. Update: since iOS8 the app can get a bit glitchy and occasionally even locks up becoming unresponsive, then must be closed and restarted. However this seems to only happen with the random function that can stack many effects at once, so for live use one must keep it fairly simple with no more than three effects used at a time. This is likely just a limit of the processing power of iPad2, so I will not take off any stars because this is still a great tool for sound manipulation. It is past time to upgrade my hardware anyway.

I cant say enough about this great delay, and the developer too. With all the different options for tweaking the tone of the repeats and adding effects like distortion and flanger, there is no end to the possibilities for experimentation. But I love it for capturing warm tape echo and bucket brigade analog tones too, not to mention pristine digital delay. What really blows me away is the developers responsiveness. Not only did he write back immediately to answer questions, but the latest update added a specific feature I requested (tap tempo midi), which made an already great app even better. Get Echo Pad, you wont be sorry!

This is a monster echo / delay / whatnot app... One of the most reliable and powerful effects processor...You have loads of FX (18 or something), and if youre lazy to tweak, there are two randomize buttons, one more subtle, and the other is crazier :) I particularly love the 8-bit echo and decimator for my chiptune-like tracks
