A highly playable and extremely flexible "echo centric" multi effects processor. Echo Pad is capable of an endless range of sounds including authentic dub echo, crystal echoes and multi-tap delay, to chaotic self-oscillating analog delays and bit crushed mayhem.

Compatible with Audiobus 2 including full state saving, Inter-App Audio, and USB audio interfaces. Control Echo Pads parameters via MIDI and sync to external MIDI clock or IAA clock for beat synced delays. Guitarists will appreciate features like delay ducking and gated feedback.

Effects include: Tape Echo, Shimmer Delay, Oil Can Delay, Multi-Tap (up to 6 taps), Stereo Delay, Decimator, Flanger, Distortion,Smooth Filter, Loopers and more.

All Holderness apps are fantastic. I use the Echo Pad primarily for guitar. Great presets for plug n play. Plenty of tweakability options also regular updates. Five stars all round

There is no app that gets as many feature packed updates as Echo Pad. This one is worth way more than the asking price. Regular updates with new features, effects, and improvements are the hallmark of this app. If you create or play music of any kind, develop or utilize sound effects, or just like to experiment with sound, you should have Echo Pad in your tool set. Versatility, stability, and high quality make it a must have. As a bonus, few developers are more tuned-in to the needs and desires of their customers — very refreshing.
This is one of the original great iPad effects apps and still working very well for real-time audio manipulation.

Some bad moments

DO NOT BUY THIS!! Absolutely awful with no useful instructions, only links to stupid time-wasting video tutorials. Really stupid waste of money.
It is a good idea to tweak around echo with live input or recorded sound but : - when recording loop, the loop button is "mixed" with the echo ones and touching the loop one affects the echo - would be great to have trannsport interface for either the loop and pasted audio - have more than 1 second of echo - be able to add echo itself to the loop - split the screen in two areas, one for delay time and feedback, one for filter Thanx
Echo Pad was one of my first audio filters. I was very enthusiastic about it but it has never meet my expectations. I am not using it any more. It is buggy and glitchy. Never works as advertised. I do not recommend this app. Much better audio filter apps are being made by Sugar Bytes and elephatcandy.
Nice fx robust, continuously improving unit in Audiobus chain. I think there are nicer UI designs out there- i.e. Samplr, which is why 4 stars, not 5. Recommend for iOS musicians.
All of my experience with this app has been incredibly hassle free, and it definitely delivers on all of its features. Only thing that could definitely improve would be the color scheme, the blue on black is a bit claustrophobic and makes the app look way more toyish than it is.
I was a bit confused when I first tried this out, and still dont fully understand all aspects of this app. With my limited understanding of Echopad, it really does enhance the effect or instrument you choose. But, still. The interface is a bit complicated, and I think a clean up of the UI and a simplification of it and the features would greatly improve app usage. Overall its a great start.
